Six Juveniles Arrested After Fight At Salute To America

Six juveniles were arrested in downtown Jefferson City during the Salute to America after a large fight in the 200 block of East Capitol.

Responding officers found three separate groups fighting in the area. Police attempted to separate those involved in the altercation but had problems due to a large crowd encircling and pushing the officers attempting to break up the fight.

Police warned the crowd to leave the area or pepper spray would be used. Police say commands were not followed and the spray was deployed on those continuing to fight.

The juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Center for fighting and resisting arrest.
