Mexico Woman Arrested On Numerous Charges After Damaging Patrol Car

A Mexico  woman was arrested on numerous charges over the weekend after allegedly causing a vehicle accident and damaging property owned by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton reports 31 year old Amanda Hagar was highly intoxicated while returning home from a float trip with her 30 year old boyfriend and 9 year old daughter.

During the trip an argument took place while driving on the interstate and Hagar shifted the car into park as it was moving, causing it to skid out of control and into the median.

During Hagar’s arrest, the sheriff says she actively resisted deputies efforts to escort her to a patrol vehicle. During transport she kicked the interior of the patrol vehicle, causing damage to electronic equipment.

She is being held on a $25 thousand cash only bond.
