A Kingdom City man is recovering from minor injuries after an accident in Callaway County where his car caught fire yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened around three o’clock when 80 year old Kenneth E. Jones was traveling on Route M about 600 feet north of County Road 240, his vehicle left the road and hit a concrete culvert, overturned and caught fire.
Jones refused medical treatment at the scene.

The latest budget cut by the University of Missouri will close down a 10 million dollar research facility. The announcement is being made that the International Institute of Nano and Molecular Technology will close. The university estimates it will save around 1.5 million dollars. 17 full time and part time employees will lose their jobs.
