The Major League Baseball Trade Deadline is over and the St. Louis Cardinals are sending Infielder Jedd Gyorko to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The St. Louis Cardinals made the announcement yesterday (Wednesday) that they were sending the veteran slugger to LA in exchange for left handed reliever Tony Cingrani who is not expected to pitch this season after undergoing left shoulder surgery in June.
St. Louis also get a minor league pitcher in the deal.
The 30 year old Gyorko, has been on the 60 day injured list and played in 38 games this season due to multiple injuries.
He has not played since June 7th, missing time with a lower back strain, left calf strain and right wrist surgery.
