Indiana Man Arrested During Traffic Stop In Audrain County

An Indiana man is in the Audrain County Jail after an arrest last (Monday) night.

According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department a K-9 unit stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of Missouri Highway 19 around 9:38 for an observed equipment violation.

During the stop 42 year old Travis Duane Butcher of Perrysville, Indiana was identified as the driver and arrested on a Vermillion County, Indiana arrest warrant for Escape and Assault.

Deputies also report during a search Butcher was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Formal charges are pending.
