Columbia Police Following Up On Several Leads In Connection With Dead Infant Found In Wooded Area

Several leads are being followed up on by Columbia Police after a baby’s body was found at a north Columbia business on Thursday.

An autopsy was conducted yesterday (Friday) and police say they have not been able to identify the a race or gender for the infant.

An employee of McKnight Tire in the 1900 block of Providence Road discovered the body outside of the business.

Police are saying they are following around 5 leads in connection with the case.
