Mexico Public Safety Report For 8/26/19

ARRESTS:

A Columbia man is facing charges of felony leaving the scene of an accident after an arrest by Mexico Public Safety yesterday (Sunday).

According to the accident report 25 year old juan D. Morales hit an unoccupied parked car at 905 South Clark, then left the scene.

Officers say they found Morales later and he was arrested.

He was also arrested for driving while having his license suspended and on a Callaway County Warrant.

55 year old Caryla A. Gillette was arrested by public safety on Saturday for Third Degree Domestic Assault.

25 year old Dijon X. Jennings arrested by public safety on Friday on an Audrain County Warrant.

CALLS FOR SERVICE:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, August 23rd:

A suspicious person at the corner of West and Buchanan.

Vehicle break ins on South Western and at East Liberty.

A report of animal abuse or neglect on South Clark.

Shop lifting at South Clark.

Public safety went to the following calls on Saturday, August 24th:

Displaying a weapon on North Wade.

Shop lifting at 1101 West Monroe.

Threats at the Mexico City Square.

Mexico Public Safety went to the following calls for service yesterday (Sunday):

A stealing or theft on East Holt.

A vehicle break in at East Liberty.

Leaving without paying for gas at 828 West Monroe.

A fraud at 2935 South Clark.

CAR ACCIDENTS :

A one car accident on Liberty at Clark on Friday, August 23rd.

According to the accident report it happened when 34 year old Mary Kaluhiokalani was traveling westbound on East Liberty between Calhoun and Martin Luther King Street.

Two lug nuts came off the tire, causing the tire to leave the vehicle.

Damage to the roadway is being reported near Agricultural Street.
