The Kansas City Royals pushed their winning streak to four with a 5-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers last (Wednesday) night at Kauffman Stadium.
Royals designated hitter Jorge Soler, who set the franchise single season record for home runs on Tuesday with 39, became the first Royals hitter to reach 40 last (Wednesday) night.
Soler is also the first Cuban born player to hit 40 or more homers since Rafael Palmeiro in 2002.

As Mizzou Football gets ready to open its 94th season of play at Memorial Stadium on Saturday against West Virginia, Tigers fans will get their first up close view at the new South End Zone Facility.
The project cost 98 million dollars and will feature a video display with a 13hd pixel layout and is about 29 feet high, 160 feet wide, and will provide 4,640 feet of digital visual presentations.
Mizzou Athletics will also be passing out 75,000 Tiger Tails throughout the season to start a new tradition at Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers kickoff off their home opener against West Virginia on Saturday morning at 11.
