Mexico Public Safety Report For 9/5/19

CALLS FOR SERVICE:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service yesterday (Wednesday):
Trespassing on West Monroe.
A stealing or theft at West Buchanan and West Pearson.
A suspicious person on East Liberty.
Drug activity in progress at 4820 South Clark.

CAR ACCIDENTS:
Two people with injuries in an accident on the Highway 54 Bypass yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
According to the accident report it happened just after 2 pm when a vehicle driven by 84 year old Norma Haines of Hannibal failed to stop in time and hit a vehicle driven by 57 year old John Groves of Mexico.
Both Norma Haines and 91 year old Hardin Haines taken to SSM Audrain for treatment.
A 2 car accident reported on the 2800 block of South Clark.
A vehicle driven by 88 year old Mary Salmon of Vandalia failed to yield the right of way while turning into a parking lot according to the accident report.
Her vehicle hit a vehicle driven by 31 year old Lori Hardin of Mexico.
No injuries in the accident.
A 2 car accident on Liberty at Agriculture.
According to Mexico Public Safety a vehicle driven by 66 year old ran a red light at the intersection and hit a vehicle driven by 49 year old Reginald Harper of Columbia.
No injuries reported.
