Mexico Bulldogs Drop Conference Opener To Marshall Owls In Week Three Of High School Football
The Mexico Bulldogs fell to the Marshall Owls 33-19 tonight (Friday) at Hawthorne Heights.
Mexico running back Dante Billup had a career night with 303 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Isiah Reams with 2 catches for 16 yards and 55 yards rushing.
The Bulldogs held a 16–6 lead at the half.
The Marshall Owls offense came back to score 22 points in the second half including 123 yards passing from Junior quarterback Ben Haug who also had 3 td’s through the air.
Mexico quarterback Ty Prince went 3-8 for 44 yards passing and 31 yards rushing.
Mexico has a record of 1-2 on the season and are 0-1 in the NCMC.
The Bulldogs have their first road game next week against the Hannibal Pirates.
