The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the autopsies of a man and child found dead in Gasconade County found their deaths were the result of a murder suicide.
The autopsies of 37 year old Monty Jason Barton and 4 year old Bentlee Turner revealed the child died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Barton also died of a gunshot wound to the head consistent with being self inflicted.
The investigation into the circumstance of the incident is ongoing.
