Twice As Nice Mexico Softball Wins Centralia Tournament For Second Straight Year

The Mexico Bulldogs softball girls with a first place finish in the Centralia Tournament today (Saturday).

Game 1 saw Mexico defeat the host team Centralia Panthers 4-2.

Game 2 was a 9-3 Bulldog victory over the Hallsville Indians.

The championship game was dominated by Mexico over Macon 11-1.

It is the second straight year the Lady Dogs won the Centralia Tournament.

Hayley Mills pitched all three games and got the wins.

And the ball was leaving the park plenty off of Mexico’s bats.

Logan Blevins blasted 3, Abby Oetting, Taylor Sherrow, and Lexi Willer all joined in the home run party.

Mexico improved their record to 15-9 and go into the final week of the regular season with a game against Hannibal on the road Wednesday, and finish the season with the Fulton Hornets on Thursday.
