Pet Safety For Cold Weather

With temperatures predicted to drop into single digits overnight, the Humane Society of Missouri is offering tips to keep pets safe.

The Humane Society says not to think the animal’s fur will keep them warm outside. They recommend bringing pets inside, but if that’s not possible to provide a well-insulated space.

Check your pet’s paw frequently for cold weather damage, layer up the pet with a sweater or a coat, and make sure to clean up any anti-freeze spills as it is poisonous.
