Hunters Asked To Keep Eye Out For Evidence Related To Missing Woman

Columbia Police are asking for the public’s help in locating evidence related to missing person Mengqi Ji Elledge.

Landowners and hunters in rural areas in Boone, Audrain, Callaway, Cole, Moniteau, Cooper, Howard and Randolph Counties are asked to remain vigilant. Police ask that anyone that sees or finds anything suspicious to contact authorities.

Detectives have determined that Mengqi may have had a purse with her at the time of disappearance.

Additionally, landowners are being asked to check hunting and trail cameras for the time period between October 8 and October 11 for unusual activity.

The missing woman’s husband, Joseph Elledge, has been named as the prime suspect in her disappearance.
