Man Identified In Fulton Shooting

The Fulton Police Department have identified a man who was shot at a home in the 600 block of Jefferson Street on November 30.

Police say 23 year old Thomas James Payne was found with a gunshot wound in the home, and crews began life-saving measures. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigation revealed Payne entered the home and was shot by the resident, who then called 911 to report the incident.

Autopsy results show Payne died as the result of a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. When police finish the investigation, the reports will be sent to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office for review.
