The Mexico Public School District is implementing a a two-hour late start for snow days and other short-term emergencies that may arise.
Last school year Mexico schools were not in session for nine snow days, and the district says students could have been in attendance for some of those if school had started a few hours later.
A late start allows crews to prepare sidewalks and parking lots prior to students arrival.
If a late start is required, McMillan Early Learning Center, Eugene Field Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary and the Middle School will begin at 9:54.
The high school and Mexico Education Center will begin at 10:08.
There will be no morning classes at McMillan Elementary School on late start days.
