A firm is now hired to help in the search for the next superintendent of the Mexico School District.
The Mexico Board of Education voted unanimously tonight during a special meeting to hire the Missouri Association of Rural Education.
The total cost will be five thousand to fifty five hundred dollars.
Mexico Board of Education President, Dustin Pascoe, says they are looking to offer the next superintendent a 2 to 3 year contract.
Pascoe says they would like to have the next superintendent hired by the middle to the end of February.
Current Superintendent Dr. Zach Templeton recently announced his retirement at the end of the school year.
