Iconic True Value Store In Centralia Closing

An iconic true value store in Centralia will be closing its’ doors soon.

The Ritchie and Sons Hardware on 105 West Singleton Street has been in business in Centralia since 1965.

Store owner Kellie Ritchie-Martin says the closing is due to people changing their shopping habits and purchasing more items online.

Ritchie-Martin says another factor in closing the store is due to more competition in the town.

The Centralia store employees 6 people and is expected to close sometime in the first quarter of 2020.

The Sturgeon store will remain open.
