A Columbia woman seriously injured in an accident in June of last year is celebrating recovery by visiting her caregivers.
Patricia Beasley was crossing Ash Street in Columbia with Katie Paul when they were struck by a car.
Paul died of her injuries.
Beasley spent more than 2 weeks in ICU before being transferred to Rusk Rehabilitation, suffering from skull fractures, four pelvic fractures, rib and vertebrae fractures and a broken wrist.
Beasley visited with staff at University Hospital and even got a gift from the doctor that performed CPR on her: a “cute black purse” to replace her purse torn in the accident.
