Mexico School officials are reporting a BB gun being found at the Middle School earlier today (Tuesday).
Staff and the School Resource Officer reacted quickly after a tip was received that a student had brought the BB gun onto school grounds in a backpack.
The BB gun was secured immediately.
The school is working with local authorities as well as taking appropriate disciplinary action.
All students and staff were safe during the incident.
