Community R-6 Lady Trojans Defeats Chamois In Sectional Playoff Game

Community R-6 ran their record to 27-1 tonight (Tuesday) with a 61-39 win over Chamois in Class 1 Sectional action at Harrisburg.
The Lady Trojans used a stifling defense to thwart Chamois early and took a 31-17 lead at the half.
The Lady Pirates’ Katie Keilholz lead all scorers with 18, but R-6 answered with a trio of double digit scorers.
Delayney Bowers lead the team with 16, followed by Natalie Thomas with 14 and Alexis Welch with 12.
Community faces Green City (26-1) Friday in quarterfinal action for the right to go to Springfield in the Final 4 next week.
