A special guest speaker at the Vandalia Women’s Prison yesterday (Wednesday) as Miss U.S.A. Cheslie Kryst visited the Aspire Missouri Women’s Entrepreneurship class.
The class is a 20 week program that helps graduates who get released from prison get good jobs while they pursue entrepreneurial goals.
Kryst’s message to the class was when they get out not to let challenges impact their success.
Kryst said often when offenders are released they are stereotyped.
The current class at the Vandalia prison has 8 women in it.
