The 2020 recipient of the Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation Scholarship is Mexico High School student Lacy Schoneboom.
She is the daughter of Lisa and Brian Schoneboom, and has been selected to receive the $7,500.00 scholarship.
Lacy will pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen P. Green established the Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation in 1941.
Mr. Green moved to Mexico, Missouri in 1910 and purchased the firebrick company that retained his named until it was sold in 1997.
Recognizing the contribution of the A.P. Green Fire Brick Company to the community, and the contributions of the people of the community to the success of the company, the Green Foundation established this scholarship.
