Teva Pharmaceuticals in Mexico, Missouri remains open despite announcing they would close their doors permanently in the first quarter of this year.
The plant in Mexico reportedly received some extra contracts that will allow them to operate until July.
The Mexico plant has 48 employees and produces active pharmaceutical ingredients used in antibiotics.
Part of the reason for the announced closure in Mexico is due to the United States manufacturers that made the raw product are no longer manufacturing that product and the company is now unable to get that supply from Chinese manufacturers either.
