Nascar’s return yesterday at Darlington, South Carolina saw Kevin Harvick win his 50th career race.
The grandstands were completely empty, however when the engines fired at the Darlington Raceway following a 10-week layoff during the coronavirus pandemic, it turned into a regular race.
The first event back was called the The Real Heroes 400 and was dedicated to health care workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
The names of health care workers across the country were substituted for the drivers’ name above the door on each of the 40 cars.
A coveted Junior College football prospect has Mizzou as one of three schools he wants to play for.
Defensive end Shemar Pearl said yesterday that he has narrowed his choice down to Missouri, Texas Tech, and South Carolina.
Pearl committed to Barry Odom’s team during the 2019 recruiting cycle, however was unable to make the roster out of high school for academic reason.
He has since gone to Garden City Community College.
Pearl says he will be making an announcement about his new commitment in June.
