The St. Louis Cardinals have selected third baseman Jordan Walker with their first round selection in the opening day of the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft yesterday (Wednesday).
Walker was the 21st player taken overall and is a 6-5, 220 pound senior third baseman from Decatur High School.
He was named the 2020 Georgia Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year after batting .457 with 4 home runs and 15 RBI.
The MLB Draft concludes today with rounds 2-5 starting at 4pm.
The St. Louis Cardinals are armed with six selections.
The Confederate flag is now banned from all NASCAR races and properties.
NASCAR said yesterday (Wednesday) the Confederate flag runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry.
Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s only black driver, called this week for the banishment of the Confederate flag.
Wallace drove a Chevrolet with a #BlacklivesMatter paint scheme in last (Wednesday) night’s race at Martinsville Speedway.
