New Health Order For Boone County Takes Effect Tuesday June 23

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is issuing a new health order effective Tuesday, June 23.

In the new order, most occupancy limits are removed for most businesses as long as required social distancing is followed.

Personal care facilities can operate with 50% capacity or 50 persons, whichever is fewer.

No standing bar, counter, or buffet service is allowed, but large venues like movie theaters can submit plans to allow for up to 100 people as long as social distancing is in place.

Sports can resume in stable groups of 50 participants and spectators are limited to 50% of occupancy or 100 people, whichever is smaller.

Mass gatherings of more than 100 people are still not allowed under the new order that will be in effect until July 20th.
