The hope for a return to major league baseball this season is once again optimistic after owners came out with a new proposal on Wednesday to players.
The owners offer is a 60 game schedule at full prorated salaries as well as expanded playoffs, a designated hitter, and includes the union waiving their right to a grievance.
Wasting no time the players fired back with a 70 game schedule yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
Even if a deal can be reached, there is still plenty left up in the air with scheduling, safety, and international players returning.
New York Jets all pro safety Jamal Adams is officially requesting a trade and the Kansas City Chiefs are among one of the teams he wants to be traded to.
Adams has 2 years left on his rookie deal after the Jets picked up his fifth year option in April.
Adams has demanded a contract extension or a trade in the near future.
