CALLS FOR SERVICE:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service yesterday (Wednesday):
An assault with no injury on West Boulevard.
A stolen vehicle at West Promenade.
Suspicious activity on East Holt.
A structure fire at the corner of Hazel Place/Morris and West Street.
A stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
CAR ACCIDENTS:
A 2 car accident yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
According to the accident report it happened when 77 year old John Meyers of Mexico turned into the lane of travel of a vehicle driven by 31 year old Kendra Cranmer of Thompson, causing a collision at the intersection.
No injuries were reported.
A 1 car accident at East Holt and Bass Street.
According to the accident report it happened last (Wednesday) night around 8:55pm. Mexico Public Safety reports 17 year old Benjamin M. Clampitt of Mexico said his shoelaces got stuck on the accelerator preventing him from applying the brakes and he hit a utility pole on East Holt and intersection of Bass.
No injuries.
A one car accident on East Liberty at Littleby Road.
According to the accident report it happened around 4:51 pm yesterday (Wednesday) when a vehicle 30 year old Cody J. Bowler of Louisiana fell asleep while driving, losing control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway and hitting a utility pole.
No injuries reported.
A one car accident in the 100 block of South Morris.
According to the accident report it happened yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon when a vehicle driven by 26 year old Skyler Colvin of Moberly was trying to turn into a private drive, when the vehicle malfunctioned and the drivers side wheel and assembly broke from the vehicle.
No injuries.
