SSM Registered Nurse Kathy Dubbert is being recognized as the most recent recipient of the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital–Audrain.
Dubbert has been a nurse for more than 43 years in Mexico, and started her healthcare career at the hospital in high school as a candy striper and then earned a nursing degree.
Throughout the years she has worked as a floor nurse caring for patients with severe cardiac issues, the director of nursing at the Stribling House, a certified diabetes educator and most recently, a case manager.
The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize those nurses who have devoted their life’s work to the compassionate care of others.
