A Mexico landmark is closing their doors at the end of April.
A & B Pharmacy has been purchased by the Webber family of pharmacies and will be shuttered effective April 30th.
According to David Ham, pharmacist at A & B since 1982, the Webbers purchased the inventory and patient files only and existing A & B customers can have their prescriptions transferred or filled at Webber’s group.
According to Ham, the employees of A & B were not part of the transaction and will now be looking for new jobs.
The Landmark Building is still owned by the Brauer family and at this point they have no intent of selling it, so other renters of space in the building are secure according to Ham.
A & B has been in it’s current location since the early 70s and prior to that was located off the downtown square.
