Missouri softball redshirt senior Cayla Kessinger will be back next season for a final year of eligibility.

She joins Kimberly Wert and Brooke Wilmes in taking the final year of eligibility, which was granted to athletes after seasons were cut short due to the pandemic.

Head Coach Larissa Anderson says the returning players shows their commitment and loyalty to the program.

Kessinger finished the 2021 season with 14 home runs and 34 RBI.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 10-1 to the Cleveland Indians at Busch Stadium last (Tuesday) night.

St. Louis has now lost 6 games in a row and are in third place in the National League Central, 3.5 games behind the division leading Milwaukee Brewers.

The Kansas City Royals lost 8-1 to the Los Angeles Angels.
