KXEO Sports Report 8/27/21

The Mexico Bulldogs Football Team will play the season opener on the road tonight (Thursday) against the Centralia Panthers.

The Pearl Motors pre-game show starts at 6:30, featuring an interview with Bulldogs head coach Steve Haag.


Kickoff is at 7pm.

Bowling Green hosts Van-Far.

First year head Coach at Fulton Dana Chambers and his Hornets is at home against Osage.

Palmyra hosts Justin Conyers and the Hallsville Indians.

Travis Blevins and his North Callaway Thunderbirds hit the road to battle Louisiana.

Michael Pfeiffer Jr. starts his head coaching career with the Missouri Military Academy Colonels at home against Russellville. This game has an 8:00 start time due to heat.

Monroe City travels to St. Pius Festus.

And Paris hits the road to play Harrisburg.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 11-7 to the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road last (Thursday) night.

St. Louis got out to a 7-1 lead, then the bullpen imploded allowing an 8-run seventh inning.

St. Louis is now 4 and 1/2 games behind for the 2nd Wildcard spot.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-4.

Royals slugger Salvador Perez’s 6th inning grand slam proved to be the game-winner, as the Royals overcame a 4-0 deficit and stole a game on the road from the Mariners.
