The Mizzou football team improved to 4-0 on the season after defeating Memphis 34-27 at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis on Saturday night.

It is the best start for Mizzou football since 2013.

Tigers starting quarterback Brady Cook finished the game with 341 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Cody Schrader racked up 107 yards.

Up next Mizzou will play in its first true road game of the season against Vanderbilt on Saturday, September 30 with a 3pm kickoff in Nashville.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the San Diego Padres 5-2 in 11 innings. Richie Palacios and Andrew Knizner hit sacrifice flies in the 11th inning around Luken Baker’s run-scoring single.

Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley blew a save for the fifth time in 17 chances.

The Cardinals and Padres meet in again in the series finale today (Sunday) at 3:10pm.

The Kansas City Royals reeled off a 3-2 victory over the Houston Astros.

Bobby Witt Jr. drove in his 93rd run of the season.

The Royals have won nine of their last 10 games for the first time since July 20-30, 2017.

The win also clinched a fourth straight series win for the first time since 2019.

The St. Louis Blues picked up a 3-2 preseason opening win over the Arizona Coyotes.

Pavel Buchnevich, Oskar Sundqvist and Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues.

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Chicago Bears this (Sunday) afternoon.

Per reports from ESPN running back Isiah Pachecho and wide receiver Kadarius Toney are expected to play.

Pacheco is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. Toney is questionable with a toe injury. Both players were limited in practice this week.

The Chiefs will be without linebacker Nick Bolton, who was ruled out with an ankle sprain.

Kickoff is set for 3:25 pm.
