Audrain County Commission Provides Loan To Audrain Community Hospital

The Audrain County Commission is approving the use of American Rescue Plan Act funds to make a loan to Noble Health Audrain Community Hospital.

In a press release from the Commission this (Wednesday) afternoon, Noble Health requested the loan due to increased costs related to the COVID-19 pandemic and will use the funds specifically for increased staffing costs.

According to Commissioner Tracy Graham, the county received the funds earlier in the year for assisting with things like Audrain Community Hospital impacted by the pandemic.

Amy O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital says the loan will help cover costs from the pandemic in the short term while they wait on receipts to come in.

The loan is interest-bearing, repayable within one year and is in the amount of $1,815,660.
