Mexico Football Rolls Moberly On Senior Night

The Mexico Bulldogs defeated the Moberly Spartans 41-14 on Senior Night at Hawthorne Heights.

The Spartans got out to an early 7-0 in the first quarter after going 89 yards on the opening drive.

It was capped off by a 2 yard touchdown run by Darious Wallace.

Mexico would answer back on their 3rd possession of the game in the 2nd quarter with a 33 yard touchdown run by Anthony Shivers.

It was tied at 7 at the 5:14 mark in the 2nd quarter.

Senior Deacon Haag gave the Bulldogs the lead when he recovered a blocked punt and ran into the end zone for the score.

Mexico would take a 14-7 lead into halftime.

Mexico would score 3 times in the third quarter on a 16 yard touchdown from Anthony Shivers.

A 10 yard touchdown run from Shivers.

And a 7 yard touchdown run from Anthony Shivers.

Anthony Shivers would score again in the second half for a total of 5 touchdowns in the game.

He ran for 252 yards and intercepted the ball twice.

Andrew Runge finished with 87 yards rushing.

Jaden Hatfield with with 48 yards on the ground.

And Ty Simms had 43 yards rushing.

Mexico is now 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

Mexico will play the final regular season game on the road next week against the Warrenton Warriors.
