Personal Property Taxes On Vehicles Increase This Year

In a typical year, personal property taxes on vehicles in Missouri decreases as vehicles age.

That has not been the case this year, and Audrain County Assessor Missy Maupin says there’s a reason for that.

All indications are that the higher valuations will continue at least through next year.

Maupin also says that the Assessor’s Office will not be open on December 31st, so if there are issues with your tax bill, they need to contact her office as soon as possible, especially if it involves real estate.

The Assessor’s Office can be reached at 573-473-5827.
