Mexico Public Safety Department Report 1/10/22

ARRESTS:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 58 year old Martin H. Ahrens on Friday, January 7th for an Audrain County warrant.

CALLS FOR SERVICE:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, January 7th:

A domestic verbal incident on Fairground Road.

A structure fire at South Missouri.

A domestic verbal incident on Meyers.

A natural gas odor at South Abat.

Public Safety went to these calls on Saturday:

A rail road problem on the corner of South Calhoun and East Liberty.

Harassment on North Clark and at the South Clark apartment building.

A stealing or theft at West Monroe.

Threats on Josephine.

A domestic verbal incident at Meyers.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service yesterday (Sunday):

Child abuse or neglect at the West Breckenridge apartment building.

A stealing or theft on South Muldrow.

A scam at Meyers.

Harassment on North Jefferson.

CAR ACCIDENTS:

A 2 car accident on Saturday, January 8th, on Clark at Boulevard. According to the accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 59 year old Gregory Phillips of Mexico was in front of a vehicle driven by 53 year old Cynthia Kay Polston of Auxvasse. Phillips vehicle stopped and yielded for oncoming traffic and was hit from behind by Polston’s vehicle. No injuries.

A three car accident in the 400 block of South Clark on Friday, January 7th. According to the accident report it when a vehicle driven by 72 year old Bobby Kittrell of Grandbury, Texas pulled out of a private driveway and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 16 year old Cairo resident when a collision occurred. The vehicle driven by the 16 year old Cairo resident came to rest in the roadway and was hit by a vehicle driven by 64 year old Melissa Purvis of Montgomery City. No injuries were reported.

A 2 car accident on Thursday, January 6th on South Clark at Promenade. According to the accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 80 year old Patsy Bannister of Mexico failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by 73 year old Loretta Spires of Mexico. No injuries were reported.
