A student in the Mexico School District is facing disciplinary action after they reportedly brought a BB gun to school.
According to a press release from the Mexico Public Schools Communications Department late yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, administration was notified about a student possibly having a gun at school.
Administration and School Resource Officer immediately conducted a search and it was determined that the weapon was not on school grounds yesterday (Tuesday).
However through further investigation, it was determined that a student had brought a BB gun to the Mexico High School campus on Monday, February 7th.
Administration is still investigating, the student could be suspended up to 180 days for violating Missouri’s Safe Schools Act.
