The Mexico boys tennis team took second place in the Class 1 District 6 tournament yesterday (Wednesday).

Mexico lost 5-1 to the MMA in the championship game.

Doubles: Brendan McKeown and Declan Gleeson 8-5

Andrew Pemberton and Zeven Ruiz 1-8

Boston Davolt and Ryan Beasley 1-8

Singles: Boston Davolt 0-2

Ryan Beasley 0-2

The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team shut out the Warrenton Warriors 7-0 last (Wednesday) night.

Jack Wilburn picked up the win throwing four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one.

Austin Maxwell earned the save throwing three innings in relief.

The Bulldogs racked up 11 hits in the game.

Daeye Miller, Sam Ryan, Landyn Kleinsorge, and Andrew Runge all collected multiple hits for the Mexico.

Miller went 3-for-four at the plate.

The Missouri Tigers softball team shutout 20th ranked Auburn 1-0 yesterday in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.

Jordan Weber tossed her third shutout of the season and Jenna Laird drove in the game’s only run on a double to left field.

Mizzou faces 5th ranked Alabama for the fourth time in less than a week this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

 

 

The St. Louis Cardinals took out the Baltimore Orioles 10-1 at Busch Stadium last (Wednesday) night.

Juan Yepez hit the second home run of his career.

Paul Goldschmidt recorded 3 RBI and Brendan Donovan was on base four times.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Texas Rangers 8-2 on the road.
