A Columbia man, Danny R. Ramsey, 60, was charged Wednesday with a felony after leading police on a chase that started on Interstate 70 and ended in central Columbia. The chase started over a report of theft of a catalytic converter from a car on the highway and ended with Ramsey being taken in and charged with felony resisting arrest and three misdemeanors
Ramsey allegedly admitted to trying to steal the converter to police. The statement says Ramsey hit a small trailer during the chase, as well.
Ramsey is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
