Laine Young-Walker, MD, chair of the Department of Psychiatry, a University of Missouri School of Medicine researcher, is to receive $6.6 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to start a statewide training program on coaching methods designed to support the social and emotional development of children.
The Center for Excellence in Child Well-Being will begin the training program right away and anticipates more than 5,000 participants in the next 12 months.
