A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after a disturbance Wednesday, night June 21, 2023 in Mexico.
According to Mexico Public Safety it happened in the 300 block of West Orange.
Officers found 44-year-old Shawn M. McIlhatton, was in the area and began arguing with two 15-year-old boys who were playing basketball outside of a house.
While officers were attempting to detain McIlhatton and determine what had happened, he became combative, according to Mexico Public Safety.
McIlhatton was arrested and taken to the Audrain County Jail for two counts of Fourth Degree Assault, First Degree Attempted Burglary,and Resisting Arrest.
There were no injuries from the incident.
