Mexico Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking

A Mexico man is in jail on multiple charges relating to a drug arrest on Tuesday.

Police reportedly responded to an automatic crash alert from a cell phone to find 39-year-old Roman C. Morrow.

Court documents say that Morrow ran away when he saw police and tried to hide a backpack in between a home and a business on Monroe Street.

Upon searching the backpack, authorities found 125 grams of methamphetamine, 45 grams of rock cocaine, 56 fentanyl pills, and 19 pills of Ecstasy.

They also reported to finding $1,620 in cash, a glass pipe, and a digital scale.

Morrow has been charged with two counts of First Degree Trafficking Drugs, three counts of Controlled Substance Delivery, and Tampering With Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution.

He is being held without bond and pleaded not guilty to his charges in court Thursday morning.
