A first year classroom teacher will be joining Mexico Hawthorne Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year.
Heather Nunnelly will be the new Music Teacher at Hawthorne.
She is a 1998 Mexico High School graduate.
Nunnelly most recently served as a Paraprofessional at Mexico Middle School for seven years.
She also coaches Mexico Middle School track and will be assisting MHS Girls Basketball next year.
Nunnelly is finishing her degree with Western Governors University.
She recently got married to Walter Evans, has one son Donye, and a dog named Draco.
