The first application for a vacant seat on the Mexico School District Board of Education has been received this (Monday) morning.
Matthew Robnett grew up in Mexico and is a 1996 graduate of Mexico High School.
He is currently practicing law as a criminal defense attorney.
Robnett was an undergraduate at the University of Missouri and then went to law school at Tulane University.
He moved back to Mexico in 2016.
He is married to his wife Nicki and they have one son, four-year-old Henry.
Applications for the vacant seat are available on the district website, and at Central Office and can be emailed as well upon request.
Applications for the vacant seat are due by July 18 at 4pm.
The unexpired term will run through April 2024.
