A Mexico man is facing charges of DWI, Driving While Revoked, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Resisting Arrest after an incident in Mexico early yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
According to Mexico Public Safety they responded to the 900 block of East Jackson in reference to a vehicle hitting a parked car and leaving the scene.
Public Safety says an investigation indicated another parked car had been hit by the same suspect vehicle in the 1300 block of East Jackson.
At around 2am on the Fourth of July officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of Monroe and Wade Street.
The driver 35-year-old Dustin L. Lopez of Mexico pulled into a driveway in the 600 block of West Love and attempted to flee from officers on foot according to Mexico Public Safety.
Lopez was arrested and taken to the Audrain County Jail.
There were no no injuries from the incident.
