Van-Far Paramedic Injured In Deadly Accident Headed Home From Rehab

A Van-Far paramedic involved in a deadly ambulance crash was able to leave rehab today (Tuesday).

A crowd gathered outside of Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbia to watch Jason Bostic head for home.

Bostic was involved in a deadly ambulance crash on the Fourth of July.

He and fellow EMT Leslie Dahl were severely injured when an SUV hit their ambulance head on.

The driver of the SUV, 43-year-old Terri Rucker, died in the accident.

Bostic was led back home to Vandalia by a procession including two ambulances, a motorcycle, and several troopers form the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Anyone wanting to donate funds to support Bostic and Dahl can visit the Van-Far Ambulance District Facebook Page.
