A Mexico woman is recovering from injuries after being hit by a vehicle while she was riding her bicycle yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
According to news release from Mexico Public Safety an officer was in the 3800 block of South Clark Street and came upon a crash which had just happened just before 11:30am.
An investigation indicated that 53-year-old Hong Jin of Mexico was riding a bicycle on the northbound shoulder of the roadway when she swerved slightly into the northbound lane.
She was hit by a 2008 Ford being driven northbound by 66-year-old Mark Elwood of Auxvasse.
Jin was taken to University Hospital by Audrain Ambulance District where she was admitted for her injuries.
