Mexico Public Safety Responds To Vehicle Fire

A vehicle had to be towed after it caught fire last (Sunday) night in Mexico.

It happened in the 4800 block of South Clark. Mexico Public Safety responded just before 9pm and found a 2014 Nissan Sedan with flame coming from the passenger compartment.

The fire was extinguished but not before the passenger compartment and the numerous items packed inside were destroyed.

The owner of the vehicle, is a 52-year-old woman from Auxvasse.

Public Safety said the woman could not give much information about what happened prior to the fire.

The woman requested Audrain Ambulance District transport her to University Hospital, however had no visible injuries according to Mexico Public Safety.
